Build your sensor
Embarking on your journey with WaterWhisper begins with building your own sensor. Designed with user-friendliness in mind, the assembly process is straightforward and only requires common tools. With a bit of technical know-how, you can have your sensor ready in no time.
Every component, from the Raspberry Pi to the hydrophone, has been carefully selected to ensure reliability and performance. The device also features a robust, waterproof casing to protect the electronics from the harsh marine environment.

Deploy it and collect data
Once your WaterWhisper sensor is built, the next step is to deploy it into the ocean at a place of your choice. It's as simple as attaching it to a buoy and letting it descend into the watery depths.
Designed for both freshwater and saltwater environments, WaterWhisper is capable of monitoring underwater sounds for extended periods.
Once deployed, the sensor will start collecting data immediately, requiring little to no human intervention. This allows for long-term data collection, capturing the ever-changing patterns and rhythms of the underwater world.
